Evolution of The Data Mining and Machine Learning Techniques Used In The Healthcare Area: Scoping Review

The objective of this scoping review is to identify the evolution in the use of data mining and machine learning techniques in the Healthcare area based on the records of MEDLINE. We used the PRISMA-ScR method to observe the evolution of the techniques and its use according to the number of scientific publications that reference them between 2008 to 2018. Based on the results we established two search strategies that we recommend when performing a query about the subject, in addition we found that the three main techniques used in the healthcare area are “Cluster”, “Svm”, and “Neural Networks”.
